Join Us in Preserving Nature for Future Generations
Woodbridge Land Trust is dedicated to protecting vital natural spaces and fostering community involvement.
Your donation is urgently needed to fund the Trust's legal challenge to the Woodbridge Town Plan and Zoning Commission's approval of development on 804 Fountain Street.
Embracing Conservation and Community Together
The Woodbridge Land Trust owns and maintains over 160 acres in the Town of Woodbridge, Connecticut. In addition to the land that it owns, the Trust holds conservation easements on approximately 600 acres of open space and woodlands.
The Trust maintains approximately 20 miles of hiking trails and 25 trail-heads on its own property and property owned by the Town of Woodbridge. We encourage an open exchange of ideas and maintain cooperative relationships with community groups to arrive at the best possible use of our public lands.
The Trust hosts and participates in community events as part of its mission to educate and promote awareness of the importance of our natural resources.
Land Trust Legacy
Milestones in Our Commitment to Conservation
Established in 1964, the Woodbridge Land Trust, Inc. is one of the oldest land trusts in Connecticut. We are a private nonprofit corporation led by a Board of Directors, a group of committed volunteers devoted to the conservation, preservation, and protection of our natural resources.
Through generous land and financial gifts and the continued efforts of volunteers, we work to ensure that working farms, forestlands, wildlife habitats, wetlands, and other precious and often threatened open spaces will be available today and for future generations to enjoy. We encourage you to hike our trails and explore our properties.

The Woodbridge Town Plan and Zoning (TPZ) Commission narrowly approved the complex on Dec. 18 and, amid the backlash, later amended its zoning regulations to prohibit similar projects moving forward.
